Boating and Dockage

Your private launch point for exploring the British Virgin Islands

Arrive by Sea

Steele Point Estate offers two private docks, giving guests direct access to the water and a convenient base for exploring Tortola and the surrounding British Virgin Islands.

The docks can accommodate boats up to 80 feet. Guests may arrive aboard their own vessel or work with the Steele Point concierge to arrange a bareboat charter, powerboat rental or crewed yacht.

More Than a Place to Moor

The waterfront is part of the estate experience. Swim, launch for a day on the water, meet a charter at the property or simply spend time by the sea. Two mooring balls provide additional flexibility for visiting vessels.

Sail Aboard Lelanta

Designed in 1929 by renowned naval architect John G. Alden and launched in 1930, Lelanta is an 80-foot classic schooner with spacious decks, a shaded center awning and a beautifully restored interior.

Lelanta offers an intimate sailing experience for private parties of up to six guests. A typical six-hour charter follows the best trade winds and may explore Jost Van Dyke, Sandy Cay, Norman Island or Peter Island—or simply make the pleasure of sailing the destination.

A Day Shaped Around You

When conditions favor Tortola’s north side, the day may include Jost Van Dyke, Little Jost or Sandy Cay, with opportunities for snorkeling, quiet beaches and relaxed island stops.

With winds tending north, a sail through Drake Channel may lead toward Norman or Peter Island, sheltered anchorages and snorkeling near the Caves.

Still and sparkling water, ice, glasses, serving ware, Turkish towels, a Bluetooth speaker and shade beneath the center awning are provided. Catering can be arranged in advance.

Plan Your Time on the Water

Dockage and charter availability are seasonal and subject to vessel requirements and sailing conditions. Ask the Steele Point concierge about current options.
